Learning how to cook

For international I have decided to prepare a traditional Indian dish. I ordered food from a restaraun and with the help of my father tried to recreate the "Samousas". To make them you would need dough, potato , haldi(indian spice), pees, nuts and an oven. This picture show what was my result and now I have developed a new skill of cooking " Samousas" and undertook a new challenge, as I have never cooked Indian food before.

Weather Club

The year 12&13 students are running a weather club, which basically records the air pressure, maximum and minimum temperature, cloud cover and precipitation throughout the year. At the end of the year we will draw a graph representing the data recorded. As it is two different people recording every time, its basically once in three weeks, however in order to achieve accurate readings we work collaboratively in a team. We plan and iniciate this activity using a special time table.By conducting the weather and taking the readings consistently we show perseverance and commitment and as global warming is a major concern, following the weathe makes us engaged with issues of global importance. We also develop new skills by learning how to use new instruments.

Football Club

Every thursday we have a football club after school. We have 3 teams: Galacticos,Maestros and Dynamos. The teams were made in the begining of the year and therefore the league stays competitive as it is always the same players participating. Each team has a goalkeeper and 5 field players, which switch continuously.
When ever we play we undertake new challenges as football is a game where anything can happen and we often have to change the way we play and analyse our tactics, we also work collaboratively as a team in order to win the matches. We show perseverance and commitment by attending the football club every week and obviously each time we play we get better and develop new skills.

Extra-curricular clubs attended

For the past three years I am involved with Fencing. Unfortunately I have not got any pictures of me taking park in competiotions, because I did not think that I would need photos but I will try and arrange for them (I have only taken a picture of my kit)
I have trainings 5 times a week,by doing so I show persevierence and commitment . We have competitions through out Russia at least once a month, however usually they are in Moscow. These help to increase awareness of my own strengths and weaknesses, each time I analyse what I have done during the competion and what my mistakes were.In the begining of september I went to Saint-Petersburg and got into the top 32 out of 143 participants, however usually my result is top 16.During these competitions I have developed a new skill which is very important:to handle pressure During these three years I have reached the russian КМС which stands for Candidate for Master of Sport.

International Day

On October the 15th the year 12&13 students have conducted the International Day. We were given the opportunity to divide ourselves into groups and conduct our activities during the first half of the day. During the second half of the day we had an international lunch where students have brought food which represented their country and everyone was given the opportunity to try the food, after the lunch we had a talent show.
We have planned and initiated the activities, which in our case was a mix of a quiz about sports and a game of football, me and my group: Stefan Filipovic, Mark Ongemakh and Kirill Kaletkin have worked collaboratively with each other and have undertaken a new challenge of woking with a large group of small children, we have managed to get them to do what was neccesary and managed to keep them focused. I have developed a new skill such as cooking, I have ordered food from a restaraunt and tried to make the same food with the help of my father.I brought in two plates of "Samousas" one made by me and the other from the restaraunt. During international day I have increased my own awareness of my strengths and weaknesses. For example, I think that I am quite good at talking to a big group of people and getting them involved in an activity. The year 12&13 students as well as the younger students and the teachers have enjoyed international day and we hope that days like this one will repeat in the future.
